Hosting Caramel taught us more than we expected. We learned how to navigate moods, jealousy, and those unpredictable waves of affection that come when a cat finally lets his guard down. Once he grew comfortable, he wouldn’t let me out of his sight. Every time I entered the room, he would follow me closely, meowing endlessly as if narrating his thoughts, feelings, and demands. If only those meows could turn into words, I’m sure we would’ve had some truly deep conversations.

Caramel did show signs of aggression at times, which was largely due to him not being neutered. Sadly, his dad hadn’t been informed about the importance of neutering when he first adopted him. It’s something that’s often overlooked, but it makes a world of difference both for the cat and the people who love them.

Neutering not only helps prevent unwanted litters, but it also reduces aggression, territorial behavior, and stress. It allows your cat to live a calmer, more balanced life. Caramel reminded me just how vital this small act of care can be.

Hosting him was a beautiful blend of challenge and charm , a reminder that every cat has its own story, its own rhythm, and its own way of showing love. Caramel came into our lives for a short while, but he left behind lessons, laughter, and a whole lot of purring memories. Looking forward to hosting him again.
